I will give a big BunkoSquad thank-you to anyone who can explain to me, convincingly, why the heck we still mess around with Daylight Savings time. It's not for the farmers, since the sun is up the same amount of time anyway. It's not for the safety of the children, because if that were the case, they'd just start school an hour later so the kids would be left home alone with the TV for an hour less in the afternoon. Why do we do this? Why can't we turn the clocks ahead this weekend and leave 'em there? Isn't it just too depressing for words when the sun goes down at 4 in January? From where are we saving any daylight? Pardon my borderline hysteria, but I'm not sure I want to play ball unless someone tells me the rules.
