Sunday, December 9 All

Sunday, December 9

All it takes is one small snowstorm to remember just how useless you are to society if you're not a full-time car driver. Five seconds after the first flake hits the ground, a fleet of over 6,500 snowplows were dispatched in the greater Arlington-Cambridge area to scrape away every single road, alleyway, parking lot -- anywhere a car might conceivably want to go. Sidewalks -- they'll get to around Wednesday. Bike paths (that some people need to use to walk to bus stops) -- eh, it'll melt. Passageways from parking lots to bike paths, which are the only way for some people to get anywhere -- forget it. I mean, they need to put all that snow somewhere, right?

And an aside to all you idiot drivers who are too busy to brush off the snow from the top of your SUV, leaving a wild, merry trail blowing behind you -- Die. Please.

Only 5 more months till spring!
