Me and the Dean Screen
When I look back on my time volunteering for Howard Dean, I'm going to remember spending a lot of time holding big signs in fierce winds. So there I was in Harvard Square the other night with Sooz and other Mass for Dean types, holding a Dean screen -- a DVD projector showing Dean clips on a homemade movie screen.
Gabe of ben-yosef.com was there filming some of us. Here's his video; I'm all the way at the end.

You should be in one of those Wisconsin ads.

Just stumbled upon your blog thru a google search.
Wondering if you might like to take this time to revisit an old post, especially this bit of wimsy-
"In case you're wondering, I'm unleashing on Gore because George W. Bush is just too dumb to waste my time on."

Dumb he may be, but do you still consider him too dumb to waste your time on? Will you be suggesting that Nader run again in 2004?

Please take a moment to discuss how you now feel about voting for Nader.
You can use old Simpsons scripts if it helps.

No, I won't be voting for Ralph again. See, Bush had us all fooled. He fooled some people into thinking he was a "compassionate conservative" (which we now know is physically impossible), some into thinking he was a "uniter, not a divider" (here we are, closer to a civil war than we've been since 1860), and fooled us into thinking that Republicans and Democrats were the same. Clearly, not so.
I don't regret voting for Ralph - it wasn't exactly a Profile in Courage, since my state was one of the least contested, and I was hoping to get the Green Party on the funding map. But not again.
I just hope it's not like Kodos said when he took over Bob Dole's body: "It makes no difference WHICH of us you vote for - your planet is doomed!"

I get the sense a lot of people will be voting for the 'sake of political expediency' this year, given what has happened over the past 3+ years (fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me). America actually had to make a decision then, now the only decision seems to be whether you want GW in or out. Dennis Miller and a few others aside, Bush might've done a pretty good job uniting...the Democratic party (rimshot). While I'm sure there is a relevant Simpsons quote for this highly scattalogical post, I'd rather just quote what Milhouse wrote in Lisa's yearbook.
'See you in the car, Milhouse.'

Kang: It's true! We are aliens! But what are you going to do about it? It's a two party system! You have to vote for one of us!
Man in Crowd: Well, I'm just going to vote for a third party!
Kang: Go ahead! Throw your vote away!! HA HA HA HA!!
